Dima seems to have largely heard about the raids while in Loch Bien, and from Vitaly, so this is probably the first he's hearing about the scale.
2) does the method of attack or the treatment of the victims (the brutalized adults or/and the disappearing children) ring familiar with him?
Given what he knows about Striker's Bay, this might not be out of line with his impressions of the mysterious inhabitants.
3) does he know anything about loch bien and attitudes toward 'heathens'? HIST: 8

Rin, giving it some thought, remembers from their time running with a gang of street urchins: there was a sort of boogeyman type name that the other youths spoke of only in hushed whispers. Whenever another child vanished, the name would resurface, only to be shushed hurriedly; however, it was pretty widely accepted that this individual was responsible for snatching children for reasons ranging from using them for body parts, the slave trade, eating them, etc.
