It's not. It's not even a little stupid.

When you talk to me this way, it frightens me. Makes me sad and worried. I think about things you might have said to me-not-me, things like this, and how they made it all into a nasty joke. I told you this before, right, how you thought you had something good, and they made it cheap and ugly.

And it's not.

I don't want them to know you like starlight or how the moon looks on water or any of those lovely, secret, rare things because all they would do is taint it.
