That he is near to stunned by her seeming regard for her husband-to-be’s servant. That she strikes him as an unusual woman; that she might be worthy of the descriptors - ‘remarkable,’ ‘unmatched,’ ‘astonishing’ - attached to her by Lord Pendleton.
